![]() ![]() ![]() I installed Solus KDE sometime around February and I gotsoemtimes download updates, sometimes not. During the second week, the Wifi stopped working. I was going to reinstall but I tried Manjaro Budgie for about two weeks just because I was wiping the HD. Sometime in December of January the Wifi in my Solus Budgie stopped working. Hey Bryan, I've been tracking your issue for the last few months because I had it too. ![]() I've narrowed it down to CBM not liking anything in /boot, but I have no idea where to go from here and all the interwebs gives me are Debian/Ubuntu or Arch guides that tell me to do things-e.g., sudo update-initramsfs-which don't even exist in Solus.Ĭould someone please just point me in the direction of a guide, since man clr-boot-manager is not very informative, nor is the CBM git page. Make and install went according to plan, minus the stupid "no LILO found" error, but clr-boot-manager can't see the kernel. I built the 5.6.3 kernel from and used the config supplied by Solus. I've already searched the forums and have found this discussion & this one, but neither actually answers the question, which is the same as I have: How do you install a custom kernel in Solus?Īs I've posted here, the 5.4-series kernels were the last that worked with my wifi card all the 5.5-series do not and the 5.6-series shipped with Fedora 32 beta doesn't seem to have the upstream patch applied so, I've been forced into building my own kernel. ![]()
